It is that time again, time to think about the
next 95th Evac. Reunion. This time it will be held in Nashville,
Tennessee at the Radisson Hotel at Opryland. We were able to get
a great room rate of $99.00 per night and keep the reunion
activity fee at $100.00 per person. The reunion fee includes
Friday night dinner and Saturday night banquet meal. Snacks,
coffee, juice and other assorted items will be provided. Reunion
dates are: May 1 to May 3, 2009, so please mark your calendar.
The Radisson hotel is located on the grounds of the Gaylord
Opryland property where a free bus shuttle will provide
transportation to the Opryland Hotel and Grand Ole Opry.
Please come to Nashville early since we have a tradition of all
of us going out to eat on Thursday night prior to the reunion
kick off. This tradition will continue and on April 30, 2009 we
will all go out to a restaurant selected by the reunion host.
Come join the fun. All reunion activities will be
conducted at the Radisson Hotel at Opryland.
Veterans who wish to stay at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Lieu
of the Radisson, will need to expect to pay a much higher price
than the Radisson. We were unable to conduct the reunion at the
Opryland Hotel due to overall cost, and due to not being able to
book the event un till one year out, they indicated there was a
good chance we could not have it at the Gaylord since
they were booked to the year 2022, we could take the chance if
we wish. You can still book your room at the Gaylord, however
the cost is much higher and all our activities have to be held
at the Radisson. Gaylord Hotel is worth the more than double
cost.
For those who have never attended a reunion, you don’t know what
your are missing. I know the last thing I wanted was to be
reminded of Vietnam because it was one of the most difficult
times of our lives. It was your fellow veteran doctors, nurse
and corpsmen that helped us through this difficult time. Really,
the only people you can count on in trying times are good
friends and family: and the relationships we developed at the
95th Evac. Have shaped our lives to one degree or another. This
is a celebration of those relationships we made so long ago .
On Friday night May 1st 2009 we plan to attend the Grand Ole
Opry and be entertained by Americas best county music
entertainers. If you have never attended the Grand Ole Opry you
are in for a wonderful experience. When making reservations at
the Radisson Opryland Hotel or the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, be
sure to purchase tickets to Friday nights
Grand Ole Opry show. (Each veteran and guest will be responsible
for his / her own hotel reservations and purchase of their Grand
Ole Opry show tickets for May 1st, 2009). Don’t miss out
on this fabulous event we will celebrate together. The earlier
you purchase tickets the better seat you will be assigned.
Come to Nashville several days early and experience visiting all
the attractions like, the Ryman Auditorium, County Music Hall of
Fame, General Jackson Showboat tour, the Hermitage, and you must
see the Gaylord Opryland Hotel Atrium, it is awesome.
At our last reunion at the “Richardson Hotel in Dallas Texas,
many of us met the famous Mr. Ben Stein a presidential speech
writer for Richard Nixon, you never know who you will meet or
see when you attend a reunion, and remember Music City is full
of county music stars
Please remember to book early at the Radisson Opryland Hotel at

Hospital Reunion Group.
